⚡️ Whoop There It Is
Hey friends,
I finally did it - I got a Whoop band.
I’ll briefly cover why I chose to get the Whoop band and the tree main benefits I’ve been enjoying so far.
(this post is not sponsored, but Whoop if you’re reading this reach out anytime 😉)
After months of implementing pieces of the Blueprint protocol, I decided that rather than simply enjoying obvious changes (e.g. additional energy, muscle tone, etc) I wanted to also understand the non-obvious, day to day, health metric changes as well.
It came down to Whoop vs the Oura ring. I chose Whoop because longevity and health experts I trust use it (namely Bryan Johnson and Andrew Huberman) and because Whoop just introduced a ‘stress monitor’ which I’m very curious to try.
And let me tell you, it was so worth it.
Here’s what’s stood out so far:
Sleep - Boy oh boy. Whoop has got me jumping into bed at 9:30p so that I can get a 100% sleep score. It’s essentially gamified sleep for me, which has made the process of optimizing my life for sleep SO much fun. Hands down I would get Whoop just for this section alone.
HRV - Previously I’ve been using the Resonance App to measure HRV each morning. It is surprisingly accurate (given it just uses the phone back flash & finger pulse to measure HRV), but not as accurate as it could be. Whoop measures HRV during sleep and has become my source of truth for this metric.
Journaling - I didn’t expect this feature, but I’ve been loving it. The Whoop Journal allows me to easily track my choices and behaviors on a daily basis and then whips up health reports. Habit tracking is something I’ve been trying to keep up for years on Notion and it’s never really stuck. So what’s nice about the journal is I get a notification each morning to check off things I did and in 2 min I’m done. I love it!
Do you love certain Whoop features? I’d love to know. Otherwise if you have any questions about my experience, I’m happy to share.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.
With love,
Sierra

🎵 Study / Work Playlist - Studio Ghibli Cafe Music. If you love studio Ghibli (makers of Spirited Away and Howls Moving Castle), then you’ll adore this playlist. I’ve been enjoying it during long car rides and during deep work. It always puts me in a great mood where it feels like anything is possible.
💞 Couples Therapy Practice - Wildest Dreams Imago Exercise. I just came back from a mind-blowing 4 hour Imago couples therapy session. Imago therapy is based on this fantastic book Getting the Love you Want (highly recommend!). In the session we walked through different elements of what our ‘dream relationship’ looked like for each of us (e.g. for relating, conflict, children, pets, sex, money, all the main categories of life). So often therapy is centered around hurt and pain. This session was centered around excitement and abundance and it left me feeling more connected to my spouse than I have in years. We found our therapist here.
