☀️ My Updated Morning Routine
Hi friends,
This week has been all about my updated morning routine.
Previously I crammed my routine into 2 hours and found myself rushing from one thing to the next.
Unsurprisingly this stressed me out.
So I tweaked things slightly - gave myself another hour - added in some time for reflection, and as of this week my routine feels gloriously spacious and grounding.
The new routine looks like this:
6:00ish woken by haptic alarm on my Whoop band once I hit 100% sleep performance which is generally anywhere between 5:00 and 6:00 AM (for the record, I’m still obsessed with my Whoop).
6:05ish turn on my light lamp (sets my circadian rhythm) + brush teeth
6:10ish back in bed, hrv training for 20 min, followed by filling out my Whoop habit tracker, reading a few pages of spiritual text (I’ve been reading the Big Book lately), and a doing super short journal entry in Day One (I’m talking 3-4 sentences) while cuddling with my spouse.
6:30ish drink Green Giant - I finally caved and bought the ingredients. For the record, it actually tastes 100% delicious.
6:40ish take dog Boba for a 10 min walk + light exposure (I intentionally aim to make sure actual sun photons enter my eyeballs - the light lamp is great but pales in comparison to the positive effects of the actual sun).
7:00ish gym time, following this fitness routine, plus 20 minutes of stretching after weights (I’m currently working on my splits) + end with 5 minute sauna.
8:00ish shower, skincare, get ready.
8:30ish/9 all done!
In all it’s about 3 hours which I’ve found to be the perfect amount of time.
What’s your favorite morning routine? I’d love to know.
Wishing you the most amazing week.
With love,
Sierra
❤️ What I’m Loving
🎬 Video - NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) Video. I’ve been listening to this audio most nights before going to bed this week, and it knocked me out like a light. Traditional NSDR is different than Yoga Nidra in that the framing is more sciency (scientifically speaking) rather than spiritually guided. Nonetheless, I found the sound of the vaguely nerdy narration to be quite soothing.
🤣 Video - Elyse Meyers videos. Two facts: 1) I love a good story, and 2) laughter improves health. I found immense joy this week deep diving into the comedic world of Elyse Meyers and just generally felt grateful for content creators like her who spend their time finding ways to tell hilariously wonderful stories.
🎬 Interview - Why Manifesting Isn’t Just A Trend on Deep Dive with Ali Abdaal. This is a fascinating interview basically about clarifying your deepest desires in life and taking action on them. It brought me back to my younger years where I used manifesting techniques to bring forth some pretty impossible goals: namely getting into Brown and traveling the world for a year when I was 18. To do these things I had an extremely clear vision in my mind and worked towards them with laser focus.

🏋🏽♀️ 6 Small Changes to Easily Get to the Gym Everyday. Lately I’ve been falling in love with my regular workout routine (I’ve been doing the Bryan Johnson routine to a T - takes about 45 min each day). A viewer commented that it’s actually really hard to get to the gym regularly so I made this video to break down how I make it easy and fun.
💪 Easy Blueprint Exercises - Workout From Anywhere. Last week was all about how to implement the Blueprint workout from anywhere, using bodyweight only. When I first started doing this workout, I realized my gym didn’t have a lot of the right equipment. This video walks through all of the simplest variations possible so that you can do whatever version of the workout that suits you.
